New Luke Scott Track

The Dodger Blues, arguably the best song lyrically i feel that I have written will be out on April 7th. This song is highly personal and quite heartbreaking and while it is not about my father it is, in fact, a true story. below are the lyrics to the song. I hope you will take a moment and listen to the track when it comes out.

This old truck’s got some ticks
Shifting into third is a son of a bitch
The AC quit, it didn’t stand a chance
Left me sweating right through the seat of my pants
All I got when my dad passed
Was this old truck and his checkered past
A double-wide on a patch of dead grass
With A garden full of butts and busted glass
Its gonna be a long ride alone
Gonna stop in Houston and burn down the astrodome
Mama I’m coming home to you
In worn-out denim and the dodger blue’s
He left LA when I was eight
Put a mother of two in dire straits
Headed back to the cotton state
Worked on 85th street hauling freight
Pall Mall packs and fast food trash
A thrift store couch that smelled like cats
An old recliner that won’t collapse
Where He died in his boots and an Astros hat
Its gonna be a long ride alone
Gonna stop in Houston and burn down the astrodome
Mama I’m coming home to you
In worn-out denim and the dodger blue’s
The Tennessee River runs through the shoals
Rebel Flags of hung on poles
Rows and rows of mobile homes
Wrote a love story full of holes
Gonna sneak my way through Arkansas
Set aside his tragic flaws
Two thousand miles or more
With the windows down in my daddy's Ford
Its gonna be a long ride alone
Gonna stop in Houston and burn down the astrodome
Mama I’m coming home to you
In worn-out denim and the dodger blue’s
